Senger cuddly toys are made using high-quality natural fibres, so gentle care is important to help preserve their softness, shape, and comfort.
For best results, we recommend hand washing with a mild detergent or wool detergent.
Before washing, any surface dirt can be gently removed with a soft brush. Because Senger uses natural fibres rather than polyester fillings, frequent heavy washing is usually not necessary.
When washing your Senger companion:
Use cool water and plenty of water.
Allow the toy to soak briefly in clean water before adding a small amount of mild or wool detergent.
Gently move the toy through the water — do not rub, brush, wring, or twist.
Avoid strong spinning cycles, as natural wool fibres can felt and may cause the filling to clump permanently.
After washing, carefully squeeze out excess water and leave the toy to dry flat on a towel.
Move the toy regularly while drying to help the drying process.
A natural wool scent may be noticeable after washing, but this will fade as the toy dries.
For Senger toys filled with cotton, hand washing or a gentle wash cycle with mild detergent may be suitable. As with all natural fibres, small lumps in the filling can occasionally occur after washing and are a normal characteristic of natural materials.
